Golden Turmeric Latte

Golden Turmeric Latte

These bright colored drinks have been popping up everywhere and always look so pretty and delicious, I had to make one myself.

Turmeric looks similar to ginger, has a bright orange color and has amazing health benefits. Curcumin is the main substance found in turmeric and is known to be one of nature’s best anti-inflammatory additions to any diet.

Inflammation in the body can be harmful when it’s chronic and long term, it plays a role in almost every chronic disease. Turmeric can also be really helpful when you suffer from skin conditions, like acne.

With a turmeric latte you get yourself a really warming and comforting drink. I love to drink mine in the evening or when it’s chilly outside.

Enjoy! xxx Amber

Ingredients

½ cup coconut milk (from a carton)

1-2 teaspoons ground turmeric

½ a teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ a teaspoon ground cardamom (you can leave this out, if you don’t have it)

Pinch of black pepper (to activate the curcumin)

½ a teaspoon honey or maple syrup

Preparation

1.Place a small saucepan over medium heat.

2.Add the coconut milk, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom and honey.

3.Stirr until everything is mixed.

4.When your turmeric milk is warm, take it off the heat and serve in a big mug.

5.If you have a milk frother you can also add everything in there and blend until combined and warm.

Can’t wait to see you try it!
