Favorite Granola Recipe

This is my all time favorite granola recipe! I love the taste and the fact that it is super simple to make. Another plus, while the granola is baking in the oven your house will smell so delicious, like sweet coconut and cinnamon!

I made it for my parents a couple of years ago and they still make a batch of this exact granola every other weekend! So if you love a good granola, I highly recommend to give this one a try! I hope you will love it as much as I do!

Ingredients

2 cups of oats

1 cup of pecans

½ cup of almonds

½ cup of sunflower seeds

½ cup of pumpkin seeds 

3 tablespoons of maple syrup

3 tablespoons of coconut oil

3 teaspoons of cinnamon

You can choose any kind of nut for this recipe

Preparation

Preheat the oven at 160 degree Celsius.

Chop up all the nuts into smaller pieces. You can do this by hand or with a food processor. When chopped until your desired consistency transfer the chopped nuts to a large bowl.

Add the oats, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds to the bowl as well and mix everything together.

Grab a small saucepan and place over medium heat.

Add the coconut oil, maple syrup and cinnamon and mix until the coconut oil is melted and everything is mixed together.

Take your saucepan with the cinnamon mixture of the heat and pour the mix over the oats and nuts.

Mix together very well and make sure everything is coated with the cinnamon mixture.

Transfer the mixture to a backing tray and spread out evenly.

Bake for 30 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Make sure to stirr your oats every 10 minutes to bake everything evenly.

After 30 minutes take your baking tray out of the oven and let the granola cool.

When completely cooled transfer the granola to an air tight container or jar.

Enjoy for breakfast with yoghurt or as an afternoon snack!
