Ultimate Snack Bars

Ultimate Snack Bars

I love a good snack and usually make my own that can be enjoyed every day!

This recipe contains all kinds of good stuff and the great thing is, you can add anything you want! Different seeds, chopped date pieces or all kinds of nuts. You can adjust it to your taste or to what you have at home.

The method is simple. You throw all your ingredients in a bowl, pour over your chocolate sauce and let it set in the freezer for two hours. I used a cake tin for this recipe but you can also use a brownie tin or any other baking tray.

I hope this snack will satisfy your sweet tooth and helps you get rid of the sugar cravings.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

½ a cup coconut oil

3 tablespoons of maple syrup

¼ raw cacao powder

1 tablespoon of almond butter (or any nut butter)

¼ cup puffed buckwheat (or puffed rice)

¼ cup brazil nuts (or any other nut)

¼ cup goji berries

¼ cup coconut flakes

3 tablespoons of hemp seeds

You can choose any kind of nut, seed or nutbutter for this recipe

Preparation

Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan placed over medium heat.

Once melted add the maple syrup and raw cacao and stir until combined. Add the almond butter as well and mix.

Remove from the heat and add all the other ingredients. Mix well so everything is combined.

Line a cake tin with parchment paper and pour in the mixture. Transfer to the freezer and let it set for two hours before serving.

The bars can be stored in the freezer in an airtight container.

Can’t wait to see you try it!
